The season of heat and humidity is upon us. If you are sitting in an un-air-conditioned place right now reading this paper there is relief for you.

There are many of our neighbors who neither do not have or can not afford the luxury of air-conditioning.

If you are a more fortunate member of our community and you wish to help one of your neighbors, the FaithWorks Ministry is collecting fans, new or used, to give at no cost to someone who is in need of one.

FaithWorks was started in 2006. During their first fan drive they collected more than 400 fans and more than $300,000 to help folks out this summer.

So if you feel that you can help either contact FaithWorks Executive Director Bob Furnad at (770) 784-1884 or stop by their facility located at 7129 Turner Lake Circle in Covington.

Fans are not costly and the relief the fans provide can not be measured.
