Shirley Ann White Baker, 58, of Atlanta, died Jan. 17 at Heartland Hospice. The daughter of the late Dothan and Maude White, she was born in Tampa, Fla. She was a customer service ambassador for Scottish Rite Hospital for over 15 years where she gave her all for the children and their families as well as to her family at home. Ms. Baker was a member of New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church, Decatur, and enjoyed painting, music, singing and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by brother Christopher Charles White.
Surviving are sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Kelsey McCloud of Covington, Brenda and LeRoy Carter of Tampa; brothers and sisters-in-law Theotis and Nancy White, Donnald and Betty White all of Tamps, Terry white of Gainesville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church, Decatur, with interment following at Lawnwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 25, from noon until 9 a.m. at the Access Road Caldwell & Cowan. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital.
