The Newton County Library will host a "meet and greet" and art exhibit showcasing pieces created by participants in Newton Senior Services' art program from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov 8. Those pieces will be on display at the Newton County Library through Thanksgiving then they will be moved to the Turner Lake Complex where they will be available for sale 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 27 during a special art show. NSS art instructor and coach Ray Smith, left, pictured with Newton County Senior Services Executive Director Josephine Brown, right, has donated his piece "Journey of the Red Umbrella", shown in photo, for raffle.
