Ruby Todd Collier fulfilled God's plan for her journey through this life July 15. She has joined the faithful gathered by the river that flows by his throne. Mrs. Collier was born in 1914 in Meriweather County. She was preceded in death by beloved husband Gomer W. Collier. She leaves a legacy of life lived without regret. As formidable as Georgia clay, Ruby loved her God, her family and her friends. Never afraid to speak her mind, she often advised on the essence of life. From faithful worship and honest work to unfettered advice ranging from practicing forgiveness to skipping that second piece of pound cake, Mrs. Collier was a vibrant participant and keen observer. Those who sought sugar-coated answers were wise never to ask her opinion which was likely to be offered, regardless, with spontaneous affection and total candor. Generous in goodness, extravagant in the way she loved, Mrs. Collier was surely one of God's most vibrant spirits. Friends and family will join in celebrating her life.

Surviving are sisters Madeline T. Mitchell of Covington, Juanita T. Joy of Grayson; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at County Line Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 26, with the Rev. Clifton Brown officiating. Please dress in casual, barbecue-proof clothing and wear pink if possible. A fellowship meal will be served in the church's camp hall. Mrs. Collier requested that contributions be made to County Line Baptist Church, 3325 Ga. Highway 162 S, Covington, GA 30016, and that in lieu of tears, we rejoice in our heavenly Father's promise of life everlasting.
