Mr. Robert L. "Jack" Smith, of Monroe, formerly of Monticello, died Friday, June 20. He was born Sep. 18, 1932 to the late George E. and Zettie Burrows Smith in Benham, Ky. Mr. Smith was a Mason and a Shriner, formerly belonging to E.A. Minor Lodge and was a member of the Golden Fleece Lodge in Covington.

He is survived by son Keith Smith of Covington and son and daughter-in-law Mike and Laura Smith of Bishop, Ga., grandchildren Morgan and Taylor, brothers and sisters, Bessie Daniel, Jerry Smith and Margaret Gravitt of Lookout Mountain, Johnny Smith of Chickamauga, Harold Smith and Patricia Johnson of Chattanooga, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Chapel of Moore's Funeral Home in Trenton with interment following at Hawkins Cemetery. Rev. Mike Kilbourne will officiate. The family will receive friends at Wheeler Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday and at Moore's Funeral Home on Monday from noon until 2 p.m.
