R.L.'s off the Square

Not usually open on Mondays, R.L.'s off the Square will open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Fine champagne will be available and a new special - Grouper Florentine - will make its debut for 2008. Reservations are needed. 1113 Floyd Street N.E., Covington, (770) 385-5045.

Michelangelo's

Club 908

Club 908's celebration will feature a champagne fountain, high-end party favors and a seafood buffet including seared tuna, crab cakes, blackened catfish, crawfish etoufe and, of course, black-eyed peas. The Night Shift Band will play popular Motown tunes. After midnight a breakfast buffet with bacon, French toast, grits and eggs Benedict among other dishes will be available. Five O'clock Somewhere

Entry tickets cost $25, which includes a prime rib dinner and champagne toast. Contraband will perform live music. At midnight a cash balloon drop will contain at total of $250. Mickey Dee's will dish up a buffet from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. At 9 p.m. Full Throttle will perform. The Pointe Bar

Identity Crisis will begin their performance at 9 p.m. The $15 cover charge will include snacks, party favors and a champagne toast.
