Pauline Daniels

Pauline Daniels died Oct. 17 at Beaumont Hospital. The daughter of George and Tommie Braswell (later Wingfield) she was born in 1926 in Birminham, Ala. She attended public schools in Newton County and was baptized at an early age. She moved to Detroit and lived with the Simmons family and later married Ollie Couch. She worked and retired from a food factory after a disabling knee injury. She was an active member of Triumph Baptist Church, Detroit, where she served as director of the Junior Usher Board and was a member of the Senior Choir, Alter Guild and Missionary Society. She married Willie Daniels in 1972 and returned to Covington and reunited with Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Daniels was fun-loving and enjoyed shopping, dressing well and staying busy. Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by first husband Ollie Couch and second husband Willie Daniels.

Surviving are child Mary Alice (John) Brooks; grandchildren Kecia (Kenneth) Waddell, Craig (Amy) and Jomar (Zakiyah) Brooks; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Oct. 26 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Hezekiah Benton officiating. Interment followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
