A new luxurious nail salon has opened up its doors in Newton County.

Located at the intersection of Ga. Highway 36 and the Overpass, Crystal Nails is owned by Sherry Trinh - a nail technician with over 11 years of experience caring for the cuticles of area residents.

Crystal Nails features seven pedicurist stations and seven manicurist stations. While there are only three nail technicians currently at the salon, Trinh said she is optimistic that her business will one day have all salon chairs staffed.

Trinh, a longtime Newton County resident who previous to opening up her own salon had worked at several other local salons and spas, said that it was a dream to open up her own business after all these years.

"It's everyone's dream to open up their own business," Trinh said

While the salon has only been open for two weeks, Trinh said she has been pleased with the number of customers who have followed her to Crystal Nails and with the number of new walk-ins.

Crystal Nails offers the full-range of nail salon services including spa pedicures ($21) and pink and white manicures ($36 for a full set).

For $5 extra, customers can add a sea salt scrub, which exfoliates and softens the feet, to their spa pedicure.

Customers can choose from a variety of options when getting their nails painted either as a full set or as fill ins. Prices for full sets are as follows: acrylic, $25; Solor, $30; gel, $36; silk wrap, $38 and Diamond, $38.

All of the pedicure chairs at Crystal Nails are shiatsu massage chairs.

Customers can recline back in the chairs while their toenails are cleaned and buffed, watch their favorite soap opera on the salon's large plasma television screen and enjoy the first class service that Trinh said her salon specializes in.

New customers and old customers are invited to Crystal Nails said Trinh to take a break from the hectic pace of everyday life and to enjoy being pampered for a little while.

"We try to do our best, to please our clients and to make it as enjoyable an experience as possible," Trinh said.

Until the end of the month, Crystal Nails will be featuring a 15 percent off discount on all services as part of its Grand Opening celebration.
