Ms. Ida Marie Terrell

Ms. Ida Marie "Ree" Terrell died Aug. 1. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Lucy) Terrell, she was born in 1968 in Covington. She joined Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church at an early age and sang in the youth choir. She attended Newton County public schools. Ms. Terrell was preceded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Russell, Mr. Gabe Terrell and sisters Ms. Mary Ann Terrell and Ms. Linda Clements.

Surviving are loving parents Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Lucy) Terrell; sons Courtney D. Terrell, Ron V. Terrell; daughters Keyera C. Belcher, Laqueka L. Belcher, Crystal Marie Belcher, all of Conyers; devoted companion Mr. Ronald Belcher; brothers Mr. John Terrell, Mr. Stacy Terrell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Latonya) Terrell, all of Covington; sisters Mr. and Mrs. Jesse (Susie) Daniel, Ms. Denise Terrell, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Purcilla) Woods, Ms. Diane Terrell, all of Covington, Ms. Sandra Terrell of Valdosta; grandmother Ms. Ida Terrell; godparents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Terrell; 11 nieces; 14 nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church, Mansfield, with the Rev. Ahmed Martin officiating. Interment followed at Poplar Hill Cemetery.
