Moss belts homer during Triple-A All-Star Game

Brandon Moss, a 2002 graduate from Loganville High School, made his presence known during the 2007 Triple-A All-Star Game Wednesday night in Albuquerque, N.M.

Moss helped the International League beat the Pacific Coast League, 7-5, by hitting a solo home run. Overall, he went 1-for-3 at the plate, including a walk.

Moss is currently an outfielder for the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox.

Entering today, he was batting .303 (97-for-320) with 13 home runs and 59 RBIs in 87 games. In addition, he had 45 runs scored and 31 doubles.

Moss was 18 years old when he was drafted in the eighth round of the 2002 draft by the Boston Red Sox.

2007 Oaks Open begins Saturday at Oaks Course

The 2007 Oaks Open will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Oaks Golf Course.

Listed as one of Georgia's Top 100 must-play courses, the Oaks Course is the ideal location for such a special event.

The tournament is individual stroke play (36 holes), flighted by handicap. There will be an open flight and a minimum of two net flights.
