Morris A. Fincher, 60, of Covington, died Jan. 17 at heartland Hospice. The son of the late Morris B. Fincher, he loved to garden and do yard work.

Mr. Fincher was a loving son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, step-son and special friend to many. He was preceded in death by brother Douglas Randy Fincher.

Surviving are mother and step-father Helen B. and Walker Sams Kirkpatrick Sr. of Covington; brothers Bill Fincher, John Fincher; sister-in-law Karen Fincher; step-mother Christine Fincher; step-sisters Darlene McPherson, Lisa Amerson, Linda Dudding; step-brother Walker Sams Kirkpatrick Jr.; several nieces and nephews; special friend Lee Phelps.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21 in the Floyd Street chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. Mickey Moss and Andy Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
