Dear Editor: Thank you for your article. I really appreciate you taking this on. I wanted to respond to the person who was interviewed and felt that the reenactment should not be done.

Unfortunately, we live in a society where some people are still teaching their children to be bigots and racists. Therefore, we cannot forget the past but must continue to show the devastating affects of it at least. As the age old adage states, history repeats itself. Also, regarding the Malcolm and Dorsey lynching, I am deeply saddened that one would equate the lives of four innocent adults and one unborn child to that of a Snickers candy bar. I would think having one brought to justice for this horrific act would be worth more than 50 cents.
