A Pizza Inn delivery man received a bit of vindication recently when Newton County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested the man they say robbed him at gunpoint in
October.

NCSO Lt. Bill Watterson said Ben Lee Forehand, 24, of Barnesville, was arrested after a tip led to a break in the case.

"The suspect was already incarcerated over in Rockdale on charges from the Rockdale Sheriff's Office," Watterson said. "So Inv. Mickey Kitchens went over their got his picture and showed it a line up. The victim picked out the suspect."

The robbery occurred Oct. 19 when the suspect approached the victim, who worked for the Pizza Inn on Ga. Highway 81 and reportedly asked for a ride to a convenience store.

The victim, who was putting pizzas in his vehicle, agreed and drove the man to the store.

Once they arrived at the store, Forehand reportedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the delivery man and ordered him to keep driving. While the pair rode in the car, the suspect allegedly took a cell phone and $120 cash from the victim before telling him to drive back to the store.

Back at the store, Forehand exited the vehicle and fled on foot away from the car. The delivery man returned to Pizza Inn and called 911.

Forehand has been charged with kidnapping and armed robbery.
