Lottie O. Taylor, 83, of Covington, died Jan. 21 at Social Circle Nursing and Rehab. The daughter of the late James and Rillia Shed, she was born in Paulding County. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Covington, and was a foster parent for over 20 years to over 45 children. She was a good cook and worked at Mamie's Kitchen on U.S. 278 making biscuits and desserts. Mrs. Taylor loved the Christmas season.

Surviving are husband Roy Lee Taylor of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and Danny Stone of Oxford, Diane Rigdon of Covington, Peggy and Dennis Townsend of Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law James Taylor, Ralph Taylor and Wesley Taylor, all of Covington; Lamar and Dora Taylor and Nathan and Elaine Taylor of Oxford; Albert and Wanda Taylor of Monticello; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 23, in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. Alan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery, Villa Rica.
