Legree Foster Jr.

Mr. Legree Foster Jr. died Aug. 2. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Legree (Carrie Taylor) Foster, he was born in Fulton County in 1926.

He attended Newton County public schools and at an early age attended James Paschal Baptist Church. He was employed by Atlanta Gas Light Company for over 30 years. He married Ms. Willie Pearl Smith in 1947.

Surviving are children Mrs. Carrie Foster (Hurshel), Mr. and Mrs. Vincent (Sylvia) Giles, Mr. Jerry Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Miriam) Greene, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Charles (Frances) Nolley, Mr. and Mrs. Ricky (Evelyn) Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Lee M. (Penny) Foster, Ms. Lisa Foster; brothers Mr. and Mrs. Henry Foster, Mr. Albert Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Foster; sisters Mrs. Vinie B. Franklin, Mrs. Hattie M. Neal; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Mrs. Hattie Foster; sisters-in-law Mrs. Sarah Norwood, Mrs. Ocie Franklin, Mrs. Ann Smith, Mrs. Geneva Foster; brother-in-law Mr. Billy Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Aug. 6 at Sims Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Rozier officiating. Interment followed at Sims Chapel Cemetery.
