Lanika "Fruit" White

Ms. Lanika Tashanice (Fruit) White died Oct. 22. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Mary Lee) White, she was born in 1977. She joined Pleasant View Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Newton County High School in 1995 and attended Georgia College, Milledgeville. She received a degree in computer information systems from DeKalb Technical Institute. She was employed by Avaya. She shared a special bond with her twin sister Shanika (Scoot). She was loved by all who knew her. Ms. White was lovable and outgoing. She was preceded in death by father Mr. Joe White and brother Mr. Michael Stodghill.

Surviving are mother Mrs. Mary Lee White; sisters Ms. Cherese White, Ms. Adrienne (Tracy) White; Ms. Shanika (Scoot) White, all of Covington; aunts Mr. and Mrs. Eddie (Vender) Maddox, Mr. and Mrs. William (Sharon) Silvery, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin (Rachel) Hardy, all of Covington; uncles Mr. and Mrs. Chester (Namoi) Stodghill, Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Few (Patricia) White, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny (Tracy) White, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Critton, all of Covington; god brother Mr. Maurice Russell; god sisters Vicky White Heard, Dorothy Belcher, Kim Clark, Jewell Alexander, Yolanda Eubanks; nieces and nephews Rakita, Lekebis, Nakedrick, Melody, Treveous, Jhervis, Toni; devoted cousins Mr. and Mrs. Michael (La'Kenya) White; devoted friends Raymesha Brown, Andrea Barnes; god children Nia, M.J. Roberts, Zaire (Z) Taylor; a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Oct. 27 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with the Rev. Camile Holmes officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
