Blake and Stacey McDonald of Covington announce the birth of a daughter Kaylie Rae McDonald on Aug. 2 at Newton General Medical Center. She weighed 9 pounds and 2 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Renny House of Covington, Barbara and Ken Tucker of Jackson. Great-grandparents are Myrtle House and the late J.C. House of Porterdale.

Paternal grandparents ae the late Rabun and Juanita McDonald of Covington.

Siblings to the newborn are Devin and Lexie.
