Dear Editor:

I am Yvette Moore and I would like to take a moment to thank everyone at the district attorney's office for all the support they have given me and my family. I know they were just doing their job and that this is not necessary, but I feel I must do something.

Words could never express how much we truly appreciate their kindness, but I would like to try. Melanie McCrory and Leslie Smith treated us with such compassion. Melanie is without a doubt an asset to the DA's office - she does her job very well.

We also want to thank Brian Johnston with the GBI, Bill Watterson NCSO, and all the first responders to Shelly's cry for help. I would like to especially thank the 911 operator that took her call and talked to my sister for the last few moments of her life.

I could go on and on, but I will spare you that. Just know that my mother, Gloria Parnell, my daughter, Jordan Banks, my husband, Greg Moore and I, salute you all for a job well done.
