Joyce "Myra" Nell Daniel Wofford, 77, of Covington, died Aug. 20. Mrs. Wofford, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, was a faithful member of Evangel Community Church. She was employed by Sears Roebuck Co. for 21 years. Mrs. Wofford was an active member of Taking Off Pounds Sensibly, initially a member of Chapter No. GA12 in Decatur and moving to Chapter No. GA375 in Covington. She was preceded in death by parents Starks and Nell Daniel; sisters Doris Todd, Leola Willingham, Patra Massey, Eva Cribb and an infant sister; brothers Starks Ellis Daniel Jr., Charlie Lee Daniel, Ed Daniel and David Daniel.

Surviving are husband of 56 years Ben Wofford of Covington; son Mike Wofford and wife Susan of Covington; daughters Patti Densmore and husband Brian of Monroe, Audrey DeGarmo and husband Shelton of Conyers, Vicki Westbrook and husband Tony of Covington, Pam Langley and husband Tony of Winder; grandchildren Christy Harvey, Joseph Harvey, Ben Wofford, Matthew Wofford, Summer Wofford, Chloe Langley, Anthony Langley; sister Helen Massey of Lone Oak; brothers J.C. Daniel and wife Frances of Hogansville, Alfred Daniel and wife Betty of Lone Oak; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 22, at Evangel Community Church, 3857 Centerville-Rosebud Road, Snellville, with Pastors Tim Gross, Dave Hunt and Jim Swilley officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Dr., Atlanta.
