Mr. John Wayne Hardnett died March 26. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver (Katie Ruth) Morris, he was born in 1949 in LaGrange. He was preceded in death by siblings Annie L., Willie, Oliver Morris, Robert Morris, Ernest Morris and Katie Ruth Talley.

 Mr. Hardnett attended public school in Atlanta and graduated from Turner High School and furthered his education at Atlanta Area Technical School studying chemistry. He was employed by Outsource Construction Inc.

 Surviving are wife Mrs. Portia Thrasher Hardnett; daughters Ms. Mico Bailey, Aurelia Hindsman, Ms. Pauline Morris; brother Mr. Jimmy Morris; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 A memorial service was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 1 in the chapel of Lester Lackey & Sons with the Rev. Carl Jones officiating. A home-going service was held at 2 p.m. April 2 at Lakes Dunson & Robertson Funeral Home, LaGrange, with the Rev. Rufus Smith officiating.
