Jesse Harvel Boyer, 59, died Nov. 14. Mr. Boyer, a native and resident of Milledgeville, had recently made his home in Covington. He was a graduate of Jones County High School and Georgia College. He retired from the State of Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and was working as an investigator in the Ocmulgee Judicial District Circuit Attorney's Office. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Milledgeville.

Surviving are wife Allison Moore Boyer; son Russell J. Boyer (Susan); daughter Elizabeth Boyer-Rogers (David), all of Covington; sisters Sherrie Sawyer of Milledgeville, Celia Boyer of Nashville, Tenn; grandchildren Isabelle and Addison Rogers, Emma and Jack Boyer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Milledgeville with the Rev. Reid Buckelew and Alling Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
