Jane Hart, 81, of Conyers, died May 26. The daughter of the late Albert B. Legg Sr. and Lucile Sanders Legg, she was born and reared in Knoxville, Tenn., attending Central High School, Draughon's Business College and the University of Tennessee. She was active in church work for 60 eyars as pianist and organist. Mrs. Hart taught Sunday school and Bible school and was president of Women in the Church, circle chairman and Bible study leader. She was a past member and officer of the Order of the Amaranth, was a volunteer for the Georgia Literacy Coalition, Georgia Regional Hospital and the Girl Scouts of America and was active in the East Metro Christian Women's Club for many years. Mrs. Hart was a member of the Georgia Poetry Society and a charter member of the Society of American Poets. She was a bridge enthusiast and an avid bowler for many years in the Greater Atlanta Women's Bowling Association.

Surviving are husband Cowan M. Hart Jr. of Conyers; daughters and son-in-law Susan H. Shaw of Dunwoody, Cynthia Hart Wages and Jerry Wages of Loganville; grandson Nicholas M. Shaw of Dunwoody; sister Mrs. S. Edward Hart of Oacla, Fla.; sister-in-law June T. Legg of Knoxville, Tenn.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. May 29 at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
