Mr. James Paul "JP" Presley, 75, of Stockbridge, died Sept. 18. The son of the late James Walker Presley and Lillie Mae Strange Presley, he was born in 1932 in Eatonton. He was preceded in death by wife Ann Presley and son Dewayne James Presley. Mr. Presley was retired from General Motors Lakewood Plant after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Stockbridge Masonic Lodge and the United Auto Workers. He loved farming and animals.

Surviving are wife Cynthia Jayne Grace Presley of Stockbridge; sisters Judy Bell Lott and Emma Jean Petty, both of Covington; brothers Johnny Presley of Covington, Olin Presley of Fairburn; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sept. 21. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Presley, Danny Presley, Richard Presley, Ron Hembrey, Nicholas Hembrey and Walker Presley. Interment will be in Highpoint Church Cemetery.
