Harley Wayne Skidmore, 63, of Monticello, died Dec. 25. The son of the late Noah and Julie Bishop Skidmore, he was born in Harlan County, Ky. He was a self-employed sheet rock contractor. Mr. Skidmore loved playing the guitar and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Vince and Darlen Skidmore of McDonough, Donnie and Sabra Skidmore of Shaprsburg, Greg and Donna Skidmore of Covington; grandchildren Tiffany Glennon, Ashley and Mikayla Skidmore, Lindsey Henry, Jeremy Lee, Logan, Grantt, Kohl, Ciara, Caden; great-grandchild M.J. Glennon; sister Wanda Couch of Kentucky; brothers Noah Skidmore of Alabama, James Skidmore of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 28, in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with Dr. David Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park.
