Global warming a real issue

Dear Editor: First, thank you for running the series on global warming. The more people know about this, and what they can do, the better. Second, to the person who wrote in and does not believe global warming is real. Let's look at the scientific groups which say it is real: Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, National Academy of Sciences, NASA, EPA, CDC, NOAA, the British Royal Society, American Geophysical Union, and more. Now, let's look at the scientific groups which say it isn't real or is in doubt: Oh wait, there are none. That should tell everybody something. The Supreme Court has ruled the EPA can regulate carbon dioxide as a pollutant as it causes global warming. Even President Bush now admits global warming is real and a problem. However, there is a concerted campaign by some to disseminate misinformation, to make it appear that science is divided on this. It's slick and well-funded, so it's not surprising some people are fooled. A good site for more information is http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/globalwarming.html#q1.
