Frank Wise, 98, of Covington died May 9 at Covington Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Wise was retired from Bibb Manufacturing after many years of service. He was a member of Porterdale Baptist Church, where he had served on the deacon board, and he was a member of Pace Masonic Lodge Porterdale #588 where he had served as chaplain for 50 years. Mr. Wise taught Sunday school at Covington Manor Nursing Home and on WGFS radio. He was an avid gardener and loved his family. Mr. Wise is preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Moore Wise; wife, Olenza Wise and daughter, Janice Richardson.

 Mr. Wise is survived by grandchildren, Cindy and Gary Brown of Covington; Candy and Mark Hardy of Lawrenceville; great-grandchildren, Nathan Brown, Mindy Brown, Sarah Hardy and Andrea Hardy; sister, Essie Mae Linch of High Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services for Mr. Wise will be held at 3 p.m. today, May 11 at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road. The Rev. Dickie Johnson and the Rev. Gary Brown will officiate with interment at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
