Eula Mae Stowe Kiser

Eula Mae Stowe Kiser, 82, of Oxford, died June 11 at Park Place Nursing Home. The daughter of the late H. Lee and Lillian Swords Stowe, she was born in Walton County. Mrs. Kiser had lived in Newton County for 50 years and was a life-long member of Cornish Mountain Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and was an excellent cook and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by son Ronald Stanley Kiser and husband Harvey Kiser Jr., to whom she was a devoted wife, looking after him at home for 21 years.

 Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Diane and billy Dawkins of Oxford; grandchildren Lee and Sonya Dawkins of Oxford; great-grandchildren Brittany Dawkins, Joseph Dawkins, Harlie Dawkins; brothers Ernest C. Stowe and Gerald N. Stowe, both of Covington; several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, June 13, at Cornish Mountain Baptist church with Gerald N. Stowe and the Rev. Jerry Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
