Mrs. Esther Helen Peters, 83, of Mansfield, formerly of Franklin, N.C., died Oct. 17. The daughter of the late Edward and Helen Lyk, she was born in 1924 in Chicago. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Surviving are children William II and Carol Peters of Homestead, Fla., Dr. Geoff and Carmela Peters of Savannah, Gregory and Margaret Peters of Birmingham, Ala., Maria and Jeff Gray of Tallahassee, Fla., Paula and Bill Elliott of Kennesaw; ex-husband William A. Peters, Kissimmee, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; numerous other family members and close friends.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Deacon Tom Metzger officiating. Interment will follow in the Elliott Family Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
