Ella Jane Turner, 60, of Porterdale, died April 22. The daughter of the late Aquilla E. and Ella Ruth Wheeler Hailey, she was born in Newton County. Mrs. Turner was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and House of Grace in Covington. Mrs. Turner enjoyed cards, board games and Wheel of Fortune and loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by husband Marvin Turner and brothers Perry and Charles Hailey.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Robin and Brandon McDonald of Oxford; son and daughter-in-law Barry and Susan DuBose of Monroe; stepchildren Cathy and Bobby Durenburger of Covington, Lana and David Harvey of Good Hope, Regina Wells of Conyers, Kenneth Turner of Porterdale; grandchildren Presley, Brandi and Adam McDonald; sisters Mary Rutledge of Porterdale, Sara Bone of Eatonton; brothers and sisters-in-law W.T. and Marjorie Hailey of Rutledge, Luther and Marilyn Hailey of Oxford, Billy Wayne Hailey of Porterdale, Dorothy Hailey of Ft., Lauderdale, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 25, at Prospect Methodist Church with the Rev. Chuck Nave and Mr. Don Day officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to prospect UMC, 6752 Ga. Highway 212 N, Covington, 30016.
