Mrs. Edith Hinton Wyant, 76, of Oxford, died Aug. 10. The daughter of the late Davis Gray Hinton and Kate Williams Hinton, she was born in 1930 in Newton county. Mrs. Wyant was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always remembered birthdays and anniversaries.

Surviving are husband Mr. Earle D. Wyant of Oxford; daughters Karen Doreen Wyant of Oxford, Denise Urciuolo of Natick, Mass., Donna Kaye Sizemore of Oxford, Teresa Lynn Townley of Loganville, Tammy Almasian of Watertown, Mass; brother Perry Hinton of Clermont; sister Elizabeth Brand of Charlotte, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Newborn United Methodist Church with Dr. Charles Williams, the Rev. John Donaldson and the Rev. Marie Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Newborn Memorial Cemetery.
