Edith Deragon McDeed

Mrs. Edith (Deragon) McDeed, 97, of Lithonia, died Oct. 21 at Traditions Health and Rehab. The daughter of the George and Rose Deragon, she was born in Providence, R.I., in 1911. She worked for 42 years at Uniroyal Rubber Company in quality control. She attended St. Pius Catholic Church, Conyers. Mrs. McDeed was voted Miss Traditions of 2003. She was preceded in death by parents and husband Joseph McDeed.

Surviving are sister Ethel Caron of Monticello; nephews Rayond Kirk of Glendale Heights, Ill., Robert Caron of Monticello; niece Deborah Caron of Boone, N.C., many extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 24, in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
