Mrs. Doris Rozier, 86, of Newborn, died July 6. The daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Mary Kelly Pritchard, she was born in 1922 in Jasper County. She was a member of Newborn United Methodist Church where she was a longtime children's Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Rozier was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband of 59 years Mr. J. Burnett Rozier.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Viki and Bill Clay, Covington, Anna and Mike Funderburk, Covington; sons William B. Rozier, Worcester, Mass., and Ed Rozier, Newborn; daughter-in-law V.E. Rozier, Worcester; sister Joyce Hammett, Barnesville; brother Lloyd Pritchard, Panama City Beach; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, July 9, at Newborn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Bernat and the Rev. Dan Wilson officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Sparta City Cemetery.
