Doris Elaine Pope, 60, of Conyers, died Nov. 7. Mrs. Pope retired after 37 years of service from Wilmac Container Corp./Pratt Industries. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years Charles Emory Pope. Mrs. Pope loved the outdoors, trips to the mountains and nature trails. She was a good Christian woman with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by her children.

Surviving are children Rhonda Pope of West Palm Beach, Fla., Angie (Mike) Griswell of Covington, Kenneth (Debbie) Pope of Mansfield; grandchildren Joshua Ley, Joel Griswell, John Griswell, Deidre Bell, Desirae Bell, Kandice Scruggs, April Burns; sisters Grace (Cecil "Bud") Nabors of Conyers, Mary (Jerry) Ellington of Conyers; brother Jim (Diane) Crawley of Conyers; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. in the Horis A. Ward's Olde Town chapel with the Rev. Wayne Whitley officiating. Interment will follow at Lithonia City Cemetery.
