Dewey "Frank" Stone, 96, died Aug. 22. Born in Walton County to the late William Seymour and Della Rogers Stone, he was a retired water technician. Mr. Stone enjoyed gardening and fishing and was a dedicated father and loving grandfather who loved being with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Louise Mobley Stone.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and N.J. Ellis, Jr., Euvonda and Ricky Harrison, son Frank Dewey Stone, nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held today, 2 p.m., at the Caldwell & Cowan chapel at 1214 Access Road with the Rev. Tony Mills and the Rev. Todd Heil officiating. Internment will follow in the Austin Chapel Cemetery.
