Mr. and Mrs. John M. DeBona of Oxford announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Michelle DeBona to Grant Quinn Deal, son of Craig G. Deal of Statesboro and Mrs. Karen M. Jackson of Woodstock.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter or the late Mr. and Mrs. James L. Resseger and the late Cerese DeBona Ball of Warner Robins and Mr. R.C. Davis of Selmer, Tenn. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.William E. Gardner of Warner Robins. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and is presently employed with the Newton County School System.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Earl Deal of Statesboro. He is a graduate of Statesboro High School and is presently employed with Gulfstream, Inc. in Savannah.
