D'Angelo Lamar Whitehead

Mr. D'Angelo Lamar "Dee" Whitehead died Nov. 24. The son of Ms. Demetria Machonne McKenzie and Mr. Lorenzo Fitzgerald Whitehead, he was born in 1984 in Jacksonville Fla. Mr. Whitehead was a graduate of Faith Academy, Stockbridge, and was employed with Bostic Corporation as a machinist warehouseman and fork lift operator.

He was a committed and dedicated worker. Mr. Whitehead was a member of Cathedral of Faith church of God in Christ.

Surviving are father Mr. Lorenzo F. Whitehead; brothers Lorenzo Dervon, Deshawn (Lisa) Whitehead; grandparents Mr. Sam (Ruby) Brown, surrogate grandparents Pastor Gloria (Howard) Anderson, both of Jacksonville; special friend Shemaiah Lawrence; uncles Michael (Nadlyn) McKenzie, Seattle, Wash., Howard Anderson, Covington; aunts Virginia (Alvin) Gay, Coby (David) Bishop, Jacksonville; great-aunt Golena Sweeny, Seattle; cousins Marlon Smith, Merlin (Nicole) Smith, Jacksonville, Marquiest Smith, Seattle, Ja'Coby (Kenneth) Peele, Jacksonville; godparent Synetta Drayton, Jacksonville; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at Antioch Lithonia Missionary Baptist church, Lithonia, with Pastor James C. Ward officiating. A graveside service and interment was held at 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville.
