Clifford Key, 85, of Covington, died Aug. 9 at Newton Medical Center. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church and loved to fish and work in the garden. Mr. Key will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Lester key.

Surviving are daughters and son-in-law Mazura Mattie Champion of Rome, Dorothy Mae and Harold Poss of Covington; son Jerry Key of Covington; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Albert and Judy Key of Hogansville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Aug. 12 in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. J. Clifton Brown officiating. Interement followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
