Mr. Christopher Lee Parker, 30, of Blairsville, formerly of Covington, died Nov. 24 at St. Joseph's Hospital following an extended illness. The son of Ed Parker and Mary Moody Parker, he was born in 1977 in Covington. Mr. Parker loved computers, fishing and his pet dog Ticky. He was loving and caring to his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. He was of the Christian faith.

Surviving are father and mother Ed and Mary Parker of Blairsville; sister and brother-in-law Tammy and the Rev. Wade Freeman of Covington; brother and sister-in-law Ed and Grace Parker III of Peachtree City; uncle and aunt Bill and Shirley Moody of Covington; nieces and nephews Amber and Ashley Freeman, Joshua Parker, Matthew Campbell, Sarah and Dani Parker; several cousins; many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, from Crossroads Baptist Church, Covington, with the Rev. Wade Freeman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Spina Bifada Organization in Mr. Parker's memory.
