Mr. Broxton Lee Henderson died July 28. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Spencer (Salema Jones) Henderson, he was born in 1936. Mr. Henderson attended Washington Street School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force serving his country for four years. He then relocated to Chicago where he worked at Hendrickson Spring Company, retiring after 33 years of service. After his retirement, he returned to Covington. Mr. Henderson has a pleasing personality and enjoyed making others laugh. He enjoyed collecting old coins, model cars and gardening.

Surviving are wife Mrs. Mary L. (Barnes) Henderson of Covington; daughters Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Sharon) Simmons, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis (Stephanie) Godbolt; sons Mr. and Mrs. Leonard (Barbara) Henderson, Mr. Tyrone Henderson, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers Mr. and Mrs. Darrell (Rozetta) Henderson of Covington, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver (Mary) Henderson of Decatur, Mr. and Mrs. David (Edith) Wise of Lithonia; aunts Ms. Gladys Brown of Lithonia, Mrs. Willie Cody of Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Myrtle Jones of Atlanta; sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. L.V. (Ella Wee) Johnson of Chicago; brothers-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jessie (Irma) Barnes, Mr. and Mrs. Welton (Alma Pearl) Barnes, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Arnie) Barnes, all of Mississippi and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in the chapel of Young Funeral Home with Brother Brian Light officiating. Interment will be at Westside Cemetery at a later date.
