Mr. Bobby Gene Walker died Dec. 15. The son of the late Willie Scott and Henrietta Hubert, he was born in 1949 in Newton County. He graduated from Cousins High School and settled in Covington after returning from the Vietnam War. He enjoyed a very successful career as an entrepreneur. He was preceded in death by brothers Mr. William Jack Wright, Mr. Jack Cosby, Mr. Freeman (Mack) Cosby, Mr. Joe Cosby.

Surviving are wife Martha Jane Darty; child Mr. Darrell B. Walker; grandchild Ms. Diona Walker; stepfather Mr. John Hubert; stepson Mr. Anthony Darty; siblings Mrs. Isabelle Burke, Mr. James English, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Pearl) Lackey, Mr. Danny Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas (Virginia) Tolbert, Mr. Larry Walker, Ms. Elizabeth Binion, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny (Keisha) Hubert, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Gracie) Clark, Ms. Patricia Hubert, Ms. Betty Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Shirley) Cosby, Ms. Gwen Hubert, Ms. Willie Mae Cullins, Ms. Rebecca Hubert, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Charlotte) Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby (Charlotte) Jackson, Mr. Johnny "Smoke" Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Tony (Judy) White, Ms. Veronica Cosby, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Teresa) Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Billy (Ebony) Cosby; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; special niece Ms. Stacy Cosby; special friend Mr. Stan Blackman; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at Bethel Bara Baptist church with the Rev. Carl Jones officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Bara Cemetery.
