Arlene Peale Terrell, 68, of Social Circle, died March 1. The daughter of the late Elmer Earl Turner and Isabelle Pecor Turner, she was born in Colchester County, Va., in 1939.

Surviving are son Pat Peale of Missouri; daughters Penny Stephens of Social Circle, Peggy Smith of Rutledge, Paula Smith of Oxford, Page Hand of Social Circle; sister Lillian Grout of Londonderry, Va.; brothers Frances Turner of Little Rock, Ark., Walter Turner of Milton, Va.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held March 5 at the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Viola Robertson officiating.
