Annie Mae Batchelor Kennedy

Annie Mae Batchelor Kennedy, 77, of Covington, formerly of Shady Dale, died March 14 at Abbey Hospice, Social Circle. She was a lifelong resident of Jasper County and moved to Covington two years ago for health reasons. She was the daughter of the late Cordy James Batchelor and Annie Pearl Callaway Batchelor and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband Marvin Moye Kennedy.

Surviving are children and spouses Shirley and Newton Jones of Covington, Nancy and Alvin McMichael of Shady Dale, T.J. Kennedy of Shady Dale and Janice and Jeffery Brooks of Newborn; grandchildren James McMichael of Monticello, Candice McMichael and Justin Kennedy, both of Shady Dale, Jeremy Brooks and Jacob Brooks, both of Newborn; great-grandchildren Tyler McMichael, Eric McMichael, Ally Campillo, all of Monticello; Buffy Jablonski and Nicole Williams, both of Covington.

Funeral services were held March 16 at Providence Baptist Church, Shady Dale, with the Rev. Ed Westbrook and the Rev. Gene Hammonds officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Bruce McCullough, Mike Newton, Fred Bryant, Terry Woods, Linard Batchelor and Larry Champion.

The family suggests donations to Providence Baptist Church, P.O. Box 15, Shady Dale, GA 31085.
