A new look for The News
Placeholder Image

You may have noticed a few changes in this morning's edition of The Covington News. We're still the same great hometown newspaper we've always been since 1865, but with a little bit of a facelift.

The News' new look is just our way of giving readers a greater ease of use and a more modern, streamlined design for the 21st Century.

We hope you enjoy the new look and find some of our new features, such as editorials on the Opinion page and informative graphs and charts in news, helpful as you continue to be involved residents of our community.

During the coming weeks, we'll add other changes to the paper to get you even more information about the people and places that matter most to you.

After 143 years of serving Covington and Newton County, we're still going strong and still we continue to enjoy serving the community that has supported us for so many years.

We look forward to another 143 years of service to Newton County.

If you have any comments about our new look, please feel free to convey those to us by either calling (770) 787-6397 or e-mailing Robby Byrd, The Covington News editor, at rbyrd@covnews.com.
