Alcovy exploded in the third inning, picking up its second-straight rout Wednesday.

The Tigers defeated Dutchtown 12-0 just one day after beating Woodland, Henry 12-2, also in five innings.

Daniel Reagin had two hits and two RBI, while Dalton Reagin also had two RBI against the Bulldogs.

Bowen Braswell drove in three runs and had three walks for the Tigers in their second straight win.

Jake Jones shut out the Bulldogs, throwing 4 2/3 innings with eight strikeouts. Jones had good command for the Tigers, throwing 14 first-pitch strikes.

It was the sixth time Dutchtown was shutout this season. The Bulldogs have lost 11 straight games, and have dropped six games in five innings on the season.

Alcovy's two victories pushed it (9-8, 6-3, 3A-AAAA) past Jones County into second place in the region. The Tigers are currently four games behind Union Grove.

Alcovy has a telling week coming up following spring break, hosting Jones County Monday before traveling to Union Grove on Wednesday.
