Another summer, another Dixie Boys tournament descends on City Pond Park this weekend. The 13-year-old junior Dixie Boys and 14-year-old Dixie Boys Georgia state tournaments get started Saturday, running through Wednesday, if the rain cooperates. Both tournaments will run at the same time, on two of City Pond Park’s fields, beginning at 1 p.m. The West Georgia teams get things started, facing Troup County at 1 p.m. in the junior tournament, while the 14-year-old team faces Columbia County at the same time in the Dixie Boys tournament.
