COVINGTON, Ga. —  COVINGTON, Ga. —  Fresh off its win against former No. 1 Woodward Academy, and on the heels of another week facing top-10 competition, the Eastside Eagles boys' soccer team has cracked the top 10 itself.

Eastside defeated Woodward 2-2 (5-4) last week, pushing its record to 4-2-1 and 2-0 in Region 4-AAAA, and giving it enough juice to enter the eurosportscoreboard.com Class AAAA rankings at the No. 10 spot.

The Eagles will take that No. 10 ranking back to Sharp Stadium tonight with a 7:30 p.m. match against Class AAAAAA No. 10 Heritage-Conyers. Then they'll travel to North Georgia to face new Class AAAA No. 1 Chestatee.

We'll have more coverage from tonight's battle with Heritage at www.covnews.com.
