PREP BASKETBALL: Eastside squads place a pair of players to the All-Region 4-AAAA team

COVINGTON, Ga. — Both Eastside boys and girls teams placed a pair of athletes on the All-Region 4-AAAA team this weekend. 

For the boys, it was Dai’Veon Robinson making the second team while Jerry Mays was honorable mention. For the Lady Eagles it was a pair of sophomores Alysee Dobbs and Ta’Niyah Douglas. The two led Eastside in scoring with Dobbs averaging 12.4 points per game while Douglas averaged 10.8 per contest.

The Lady Eagles’ duo helped Eastside to a 9-13 overall record and a 6-6 region mark that placed coach Gladys King’s at fourth in the region heading into Monday’s region tournament.
