Lady Eagles to host alumni game
statechampionshippic
The Lady Eagles celebrate after winning the State Championship in 1999.

Eastside High School will host a Lady Eagles alumni game on August 16 at the EHS softball fields at 11 a.m.

Concessions will be open and the gate fee is $6. This matchup will serve as a benefit game, as all proceeds will go to the James Wright Fund.

Kim Wright was a graduate of EHS, member of the softball and soccer teams, and her brother (James Wright) recently had a tragic car accident which left him paralyzed. All proceeds of the game are going to the family.

For more details regarding the funding for the Wright family please visit: gofundme.com/jameswrightfund.
Lady Eagles’ head coach Heather Wood is organizing the event.

Wood is entering the first season of her second stint as Lady Eagles head coach. Wood resigned from her position as head coach at Eastside in 2008 to raise her children, and now she’s back to lead again.

Please email Heather Wood at wood.heather@newton.k12.ga.us or Kayla Young kay.young34@yahoo.com if you plan on attending.
