Eastside misses playoffs

Eastside fell behind, and couldn't recover in Madison County's 3-0 win in girls' soccer action Friday night.

The Lady Raiders (3-8-1, 2-4 8AAAA) took a 3-0 lead before Becka McKelvey scored Eastside’s lone goal late in the second half.

The Lady Eagles were playing without forward/mid-fielder Sarah Gaddis and goalkeeper Carly Farrow who are on a mission trip to Haiti.

With the loss, the Lady Eagles (3-8, 1-5 8AAAA) are eliminated from this years State Playoffs, ending
their school record run of qualifying for State 4 years in a row (set from the 2009 season thru the 2012 season)

Edmiston lifts Eagles

The Eastside Eagles (5-5-1, 2-4 8-AAAA) defeated the Madison County Raiders (7-5-0, 3-3 8AAAA) 2-0 on two penalty kicks in a physical match.

Edmiston tallied both Eastside's goals for the win.
