Eastside all but dominated March, but its final game of the month was anything but, as the Eagles lost 13-3 to Stockbridge Wednesday.

It was the second meeting between the two teams in the month with Eastside dominating the Tigers 15-2 on March 2.
Wednesday's game started off well for the Eagles, who put up three runs in the top of the first inning.

Joey Mitchell and Jake Wright both singled and then Musashi Briem drew a walk to load the bases for designated hitter Tee Sims. Sims hit a triple to right field to plate the three runs.

Those runs would be the extent of the scoring for Eastside (13-4, 7-2 4-AAA).

In the bottom half of the first Ty Raynor was on the mound for Eastside and after two quick outs, the Tigers (6-11, 4-5) put base runners on courtesy of an error and a single before the next batter pounded out a double to make the score 3-2 at the close of the inning.

Stockbridge hit Raynor hard in the third inning by stringing together four consecutive hits, three of which were doubles as another three runs crossed the plate.

Jake Wright would come in to relieve Raynor on the mound and get the Eagles out of the inning.

In the fifth inning things continued to go downhill for Eastside as Stockbridge had four batters reach base without the benefit of getting a hit courtesy of an error, a couple of walks and a batter hit by a pitch.

A wild pitch and a double would score another three runs for the Tigers. Senior Matt Hitchcock assumed the pitching duties for the Eagles in the sixth inning.

Stockbridge would load the bases again with an error, a hit batsman and a walk before Hitchcock issued another walk which forced in a run.

The last Tiger to the plate hit a triple, driving in three runs and ending the game as the Eagles suffered the run-rule loss.
